Dance, music & movement, and a healthy dose of fun!

For boys and girls from 4 months to 7 years and beyond

Boy dancing

What we do

Classes are designed to be lively and are all about having fun with dance, music & movement. There are no exams to pass and no people to compete with.

In fact we aim for you to have so much fun that you won’t even notice your child increasing  his/her co-ordination, physical skill and fitness, whilst developing independence, a sense of achievement, following instructions and learning social skills. We will be using fine and gross motor skills, role-play, rhythm, melody, memory and repetition.

Our classes are taught in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere while working in accordance with the DfE's (Department for Education) guidelines for young children. They are exciting, educational and energetic and include a large selection of props, such as musical instruments, scarves, ribbons, bean bags, parachute and lots more.

What to Expect

Each session starts with our introductory warm-up song and dance. Next we explore age-appropriate movement sequences following different stories and themes. We often have a free dance section where children can explore a large selection of dance props and sensory dance materials and they can be creative in making up their own dances with these. The class is finished with a goodbye song.

New themes and activities are introduced regularly, further building on your child’s existing skills.

  • Little Movers with Disco Duck is a Mummy & Me style class designed to be interactive for child and mum (or dad, grandma, granddad, caregiver!)
  • At Ballet Tots classes parents are encouraged to join in and assist their child during the class. With some of the older children parents like to sit at the side and watch.

At the end of each term children collect their 'end-of-term certificates'.

Eliza loves to dance, and is FULL of energy! For us it is about having fun, dancing around and burning that energy up. Kids Let’s Dance delivers! There are different themes every few weeks, as the dancing is all around story telling, with the help of Disco Duck (and the lovely Hannah who runs the class!!) All loads of noisy fun, with the children all throwing themselves into it.

Eliza’s Mum, aged 3

Eva really enjoys the classes and always asks to go dancing. She shows everyone what she has learned when she visits family.
